about this poster

Classroom poster, the teacher at the blackboard, “LESSON TIME”

Standing by the blackboard, a schoolteacher in a jacket shows her pupils the day’s lesson. The children sit at their wooden desks, each with an inkwell. In the classroom, a globe, a wall map and a tall window let in soft light. The title “LESSON TIME” marks the hour of the lesson. This school poster plays on wood browns, the teal of the blackboard and warm tones that recall the calm, studious classrooms of long ago.

A gift for a teacher or an office

Vertical in format, it fits in an office, a library, a homework corner or a classroom. Its wood tones and teal blend well with shelves full of books, an old globe, a thrifted school desk or a cream wall. It can sit alongside other posters about school, maps or reading. It makes a touching gift for a teacher at the end of the school year, a professor retiring, or parents setting up a study space for their children.

Choosing the size and the spot
